The Montessori Teacher Training Program of Philadelphia was established in
1999. The training Program is an affiliate of the American Montessori
Society, and is accredited by MACTE (Montessori Accreditation Council for
Teacher Education) The Montessori Teacher Training of Philadelphia
is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The American Council
on Education has evaluated the coursework and recommended its value as undergraduate credits, obtained through Thomas Edison State College or cooperating
colleges. Our instructors, experienced Montessori teachers and school administrators,
share a wealth of knowledge and expertise with the students. Personal attention
is achieved through small classes.

We are conveniently located on the site of a Montessori school, on Route 320, near the intersection of Route 3, within minutes of Exit 9, I-476, between I-95 and the PA Turnpike (I-76).
The American Montessori Society (AMS) was founded in 1960. The purpose of AMS is to help children develop their potential through the educational standards of Dr. Maria Montessori. The Montessori Accreditation Counsil for Teacher Education (MACTE) Commission was recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education as the accrediting agency for Montessori Teacher Education in 1995.
